Our in-house bakery is the heart of Albaghdady. Every morning we fire up the tandoor for fresh samoon, layer phyllo for kunafa and baklava, hand-roll burma and ladyfingers, and hand-fold fatayer and manakish — all from the recipes our family has been baking since 1919.

Kanafa

Sticky shredded phyllo with melted cheese, soaked in rose-water syrup and topped with crushed pistachios.

Pistachio Baklava

Our most-ordered variety. Generous layers of fresh-ground pistachios between paper-thin phyllo, soaked in just enough syrup.

Mixed Baklava

Layers of phyllo, walnut, pistachio and honey. A mixed selection of our house baklava varieties.

Bread Baklava
